A difficult, even bothersome city at times Venice, for those who live there and are forced to travel the town on foot. The legendary splendor of the city known as "the Serenissima" is a bit down-at-the-heel and neglected, expensive beyond all reason and nearly smothered by the crowds of tourists hopelessly in love with her charms.
