All Aboard! The Rails of Sardinia
by David Walthall

The beautiful island of Sardinia, located in the Mediterranean Sea to the west of the Italian peninsula, is a enchanting land of sea, rock, flora, and fauna. An island in the true sense of the word, Sardinia maintains a rich cultural heritage distinct from the Italian mainland. This jeweled combination of natural splendor and human expression is deeply felt in the Barbagia, the thick mountain range which covers the East-central part of the island.

A wonderful way to explore the treasures of this region is by Railway.
