Hell, Purgatory and Paradise

At the heart of Tuscany, there's a natural grotto with a cauldron of bubbling mineral water between its stalagmites and stalactites. The underground lake creates a steamy atmosphere inside the grotto with temperatures rising progressively from 27° to 34° centigrade. Indeed, the three caves making up the grotto are called Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. The grotto, the Grotta Giusti, provides steam baths with vapors charged with sulphur, calcium, bicarbonate of soda and magnesium.
The Grotta, discovered over 150 years ago, has given rise to a modern thermal therapy center, with mud packs, mineral baths, hydromassage and all the trimmings.
The Grotta Giusti Hotel was built to support the facility. It is an elegant Tuscan villa set in a park where other treatments and revitalizing health and beauty regimes using the hot spring's curative properties are available.
