The "city of the sun", lying on its wonderful gulf, sums up
all the history and traditions of Sardinia, by being its capital. The historical
districts, clustered around the old Aragonese fortress, maintain the original medieval
aspect and allow panoramic views of rare beauty on the city and its very lively port. The Emerald Coast: tourism for millionaires and a transparent sea, loved by
Fiat's Giovanni Agnelli, the Aga Khan and other VIPs.
Situated to the north of Sardinia, the archipelago is made up by seven islands and a lot of islets. Indented coasts, small beaches, and an always windy climate create a fascinating scenery, and heaven for sailing and water sports entusiasts. One of the few areas in Italy well equipped for sailboat.
Underwater caves, pink flamingoes and fantastic island cuisine; less expensive than the
east of Sardinia, but no less intriguing Forte Village Resort: many little private bungalows hidden in the thick of a tropical forest by the sea: the hospitality makes you feel right at home; international environment.
