Shopping on the Island:
Naturally, bars and restaurants, clubs and shopping can be found all about, with the best shops in Porto. Local products include lemons, oregano, capers, Mennella ceramics and wines produced by Ambra. The jewelry by Maja (in Piazzetta Aragonese on the Ischia Ponte and the footwear creations by House of Corsi (Corso Vittoria Colonna al Porto) are quite special.

Thermal parks:
The most beautiful are Castiglioni in Casamicciola, Negombo in Lacco Ameno, Giardini Poseidon in Forio (largest; must see!) and the Tropical in Sant'Angelo, small but filled with flowers!

Excursions:
On top of all the rest, there are island tours and trips to the small island of Procida, a small island both picturesque and primitive, famous for its lemons.

Entertainment:
A busy calendar of events has been foreseen for 1999: music, concerts, exhibitions, festivals and a beach party or two -- or three...
