An old-fashioned 'osteria' where writers and movie people are often seen. Was loved by Pasolini, Moravia, Elsa Morante.

Travelers' tip:

Moriondo e Gariglio (via dei Pie' di Marmo 21-22) make innumerable types of chocolate: milk chocolate, semi-sweet and bitter; and this in addition to candied fruits, marzipan fruits and semi-sweet mint chocolate.

Kottabos-Il Gioco del Vino (The wine game) (Via Fienaroli 30/a, tel. 5897196) is a wine shop, tap-room and cookery housed in one of the most secluded little corners of Trastevere. In addition to being just plain trendy, they've got a rich selection of wines you can sample accompanied by a plate of pasta.
