It is located right in Piazza Del Giglio, beside the famous seafood restaurant, Il Giglio. The rooms in this large Victorian hotel are delightful with their big green-shuttered windows, very Italian! Try to get a room looking out on the attractive Piazza Del Giglio. It is said that many famous people have stayed and continue to stay at Universo. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very courteous. Staying here puts you absolutely in the heart of Lucca, also very near San Michele. This is a precious little hotel and a wonderful place to stay. La Luna Corte Compagni, 12 Ph.: 0583-493634 Fax: 0583-490021 Located in a rather quiet part of the historic center, this small hotel has recently been reconstructed. The rooms are very comfortable and a few are quite elegant with colorful ornate ceilings, sometimes chandeliers, and grand mirrors.
