L'AQUILA
| Historical and medieval Abruzzi capital, it preserves artistic monuments very
valuable in the Italian art heritage. The main monument is the church of S. Maria of Collemaggio located just outside the walls surrounding the town. The Cathedral and the church of San Bernardino are in the city center, while the
famous "Fountain of the 99 faucets" is located in its southern part.
