The Dolomites
Steps from Heaven's door
For (Ski) Lovers Only

In the heart of the Dolomites, around the Sella mountain group, you'll find some of Italy's best slopes. The famous Sella Ronda offers a unique run that can be described only as simply magnificent in terms of the surrounding landscape and the quality of the run. I t connects with the Passo Sella, the Passo Gardena, the Passo Campolongo and the Passo Pordoi. the course is circular and can be completed in a day, including a lunch stop (don't linger too long however!)
The Sella Ronda, known as the Giro dei 4 Passi, or 4-Step Tour, is well indicated by numerous which slopes and lifts you'll need to complete your excursion. You can move through the tour in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction, so be prepared to meet skiers coming down the medium slopes. The tour may not present any particular difficulties, but it would be better to set out accompanied by a pro, who will be more than happy to show you alternative runs suited to your skill and desires, as well as points of interest in the landscape.
