The decade's most unique publicity stunt: PRADA
on the high seas aboard the Luna Rossa
The fashion company's marketing strategy for 1999 was based
on combining the prestigious PRADA name with the world's
most famous sailing regatta. The unconventional move proved
a brilliant stroke, as anyone checking on the course of
the race or the performance of the Luna Rosa was greeting
simultaneously with the celebrated logo.
Fashion Benefit against the Use of Children in
Warfare
As is the case each year, the third edition of Moda in Galleria
was associated with a global social issue. Set within the
impressive context of the Galleria Principe in Naples, the
evening spotlighted the Campagna Stop all'uso dei Bambini
Soldato, an initiative determined to stop the use of
children as soldiers. The resulting presentation was the
most significant to date for this popular cause.

Saint Laurent's departure, the famous Maison shut its doors.
The final goodbye is scheduled for January 22, 2002, marked
by a last show and a collection that promises to be both
something altogether new as well as a retrospective of his
masterpieces.
