After many years of coming up the hard way, Florentine self-proclaimed "design artist" Roberto Cavalli, has shown his own women's collection characterized by playful and joyous creations, often ironic, intended solely to make the woman wearing them even more voluptuous and seductive.

Italy is not only the proving ground for Italian designers: there are numerous foreign designers who have set up in the Belpaese, or who design for big-name Italian houses. Among these are two very good American stylists.
