And then there's John Bartlett from Cincinnati, the most recent arrival on the scene who, after graduating from Harvard with a degree in sociology, attended the FIT in New York and has now landed in Italy thanks to an agreement with the Genny group in Ancona, which produces and distributes his line. His 1998 spring collection has a marked dark lady appeal, straight out of Hollywood's film noir days. Very sexy, very feminine.
