World-Wide: Windows on "Made in Italy"

Italian fashion has penetrated every corner of the world. To satisfy the growing demand, big-name designers are opening upadditional "Made in Italy" locations in established fashion centers such as Milano, Roma, New York as well as new ones in Moscow, Beijing, Riyadh and Buenos Aires. Below, you'll find details on the most recently opened "Made in Italy" show rooms and boutiques throughout the world.

GUCCI
Milano

Many prominent figures were on hand for the festivities on October 4th, as Gucci inaugurated a new shop in Milano, at Via Montenapoleone 27. The shop itself, which comprises 1000 sq. meters on two floors, was created by creative director Tom Ford in collaboration with interior architect William Sofield, using steel and limestone to great effect.

JIL SANDER
Milano

Minimalism at its max! Jil Sander is opening her first boutique in Italy. All black and white and very sophisticated, the Milano shop, located at Via Verri 6, pays homage to the best of the 1930's. (Ph.02-7772991).

PRADA
Beverly Hills - NYC - London

Fluorescent green characterizes the new Prada locations on Beverly Hills' famous Rodeo Drive, New York's 5th Avenue and London's Old Bond Street. A facelift is in store for the seven existing shop windows of the Milano boutique in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

FERRE'
Milano

Gianfranco Ferré inaugurated a generous new space in Via Pontaccio 21 with a bang by celebrating his 20 years in the fashion industry with a fabulous party on Friday, October 9th. The new boutique, at Via Sant'Andrea 15 in Milano, is a wonder of luxury: the major part of the store's furnishings are covered in chic and pricey crocodile. The sight is sure to astound even the most jaded shopper.

ALBERTA FERRETTI
Broadway

Walking on water is no longer a feat reserved for divinities! Just walk into Alberta Ferretti's new show rooms at 452 West Broadway in New York to see what we mean. Shoppers seem to be walking on streams of water cascading down the slightly tilted flooring. Strong themes of light and transparency are evident throughout the structure, including extensive use of silver on the external walls.

ARMANI
Beijing - Las Vegas - Rome

The Emporio Armani in Rome is all stone and steel, a unique venue found along the Via Babuino, near Piazza di Spagna. The new Beijing shop is an extraordinary mix: grey with black polished granite floors accented by hints of gleaming red. Fans are curious to see what the designer has in mind for the new shop set to open in the characteristically outrageous Las Vegas!

FENDI
Moscow - Dubai - Buenos Aires - Riyadh - Beijing - Canton

The two of five Fendi sisters which lend their initials to the FF symbol, are set to open 7 new boutiques in the next three months. The look of the new locations is characterized by a sober and refined elegance, warmed by touches of smoky color.

TRUSSARDI
Milano

October 7th saw the inauguration of TRUSSARDI'S T'Store in Milano, in Via Durini, near the well known Piazza S. Babila. With its 24 sq. meters of window display area, the T'Store Trussardi has a clean, technological character which renders it more than a store. It's very nearly a work of art in itself, with a computerized lighting system which allows for amazing permutations of color.
