ATTENTION-GRABBERS

Rhinestones, crystals, metallicized leathers, beads and sequins have been united this season in a joyous whirl of fabric and decor.
These sparkling accessory elements sparkle and spin, pop on and off, giving a whole new feel to both evening and daytime apparel.
A glittering pair of shoes sets off a basic-black, a shimmering corset top complements a velvet skirt, trousers trimmed with bands of colored sequins is irresistible paired with a straight imperial-collared jacket.
And all this splendor coexists divinely with your everyday togs: jeans are fun again topped with a metallic chemise, a knitted mini with the gleam of stainless steel is the perfect mate for a colored wool mock-turtle.
The variety is unlimited and everything works, so be bold!

Patrik Cox has distinguished himself by the extensive use of rhinestones on stretch trousers, trimming pockets, hems and side seams with bands of glittering stones.
Fendi has played artfully with rhinestones, studding the tops for a line of mink co-ordinates.
That Krizia has succumbed to the allure of Swarovski is evidenced by a line of tops, dresses, and skirts, richly dusted by sparkling micro-crystals.
Giorgio Armani has harmonized beads and sequins to create a shiny jewel of a wrap-around top. Lawrence Steele has taken a metallic cue from the combined delicacy and strength of ancient chain-mail for his futuristic (yet somehow feminine) dresses.
Dolce and Gabbana remain true to their love of detail, trim and the warmer climes which inspired their precious below-the-knee capri pants.

This season, it's not enough to make an impression -- go with the glow and shine, Girl!
