90 shows in nine days. More than 8000 garments appeared on the catwalk at the latest presentation of the Milano Collezioni, an event which lays down the law for fashion around the globe each season; which defines the woman of the moment. And who is she to be in the coming season?  More sensual, a little sweeter, she recognizes the advantages of technology and will be wearing ever more sophisticated and innovative fabrics. Accents are defined by a set of constants: geometric cuts, color (natural and urban tones), the strong presence of the fabrics themselves (loose-weaves and knits), a distinctly luxurious and elegant touch underscored by the return of knee-length skirts and dresses. |
