out like stars from Hollywood's Golden Age, walking through the glare
of flash photography down a white faux-fur runway. Gucci proclaims
a masculine need for formality and security, which calls for image-making
elegance. Gucci's style is somewhat melancholic, reminiscent of the
1930's also in its wide trousers. The detailing is unmistakable: from
the coated top-stitching on the rain coat under a wide-brimmed hat
to the classic Dick Tract trench and high-gloss black leather shoes.
