Westwood, Moschino: Stepping out of line
Among the more fun collections this fall season, mocking a bit the perpetual motion of vanity, are those of Vivienne Westwood and Moschino. United by a pronounced strain of irony, they've demonstrated yet again, in completely different ways, presenting well-made, reasonable and elegant clothing does not necessarily mean bringing out a line of boring and uninspired garments. The result has been, in these cases a visionary and transversal interpretation of male narcissism, reeking with finesse and sophistication. Westwood has presented a men's line which seems to have come directly from Savile Row -- exactly like the impeccably cut collection by Moschino.
