D&G: Intimate shades of gray that fade to white
A theme dear to the hearts of Dolce e Gabbana who have made a rather cunning, intimistic fashion statement. Comfortable in form, fabric and design. Trousers and jackets to stay at home, lounging suits -not in crushed-velvet Dali red as you might guess but with the essential line and color of a pencil slash. Perfect in fabric and form. Fashion comments on itself, styles converge and dissent. Smokeygreys which fade nearly to white, lit by neon -- see Dan Flavin -- are presently experiencing a moment of great popularity. The effect is softened by photography, whereas in real life, everything is rendered absolutely homogenous -- a rather ghostly effect.
