Their faces are straight out of Pasolini and Visconti: young and
disturbing, handsome and sensual. Their garments all steely grey and iron, urban asphalt,
made of fur and high-quality woolens.
That's how Milano defines next season's new man. What's he got on?

Trends in color and fabric
Emphasis is on softness, with light full-bodied fabrics such as tweed, corduroy,
pied-de-poule, lightweight cashmere, alpaca, mohair, loden and fleece turned out like
silk. Two-tone combinations are out in force, with contrasting bands reminiscent of the
flag-bearers at the Palio di Siena, hoods are attached on everything: jackets,
sweatshirts, coats, and so on. Feather-light sweaters take the place of shirts. Big-city
urban tones are strong this season: greys, asphalt and steel.
