Giorgio Armani closed the week of shows in Milano with the presentation of his men's collections amidst much applause and appreciation. All he can do is follow his own lead! The unconstructed jackets, the easygoing formality, bear the Armani name and, as much as everyone tries to copy his designs, his own variations on the basic concepts consistently produce the best results-- tireless, renewed and refreshed each season by way of nearly imperceptible changes in detail. More casual items feature military detail in keeping with the rest of the Emporio collection. The knitwear is incredible! Although he continues to reap great success, the overall feeling is that there are no new strong ideas for innovation.
