For
the sixth edition of the Artigianato e Palazzo exhibition in Florence,
inaugurated in May, Bulgari has thrown in on the side of "arti
minori", the dedicated craftsmen who still today guarantee quality
workmanship and unique design.
In
a pre-release presentation, the company recently displayed its latest
creation, a '30s-inspired watch bearing the name Rettangolo, as a
triumph of the modern artisan.
Coinciding
with Rettangolo's debut, the world-famous jeweler has sponsored an
exhibition entitled Forma dedicated to this singular period, nearly
unparalleled as a cult of audacious form.
In the context of the 63rd Maggio Fiorentino celebrations, Bulgari
paid tribute to the extraordinary career of conductor Zubin Mehta,
presenting him with an exclusive baton fashioned of gold-plated silver.
The prestigious gift was handed over at a recent concert at the Teatro
Comunale which featured the music of Weber, Schumann and Brahms.
