This is not the first time the career of fashion icon Armani
has received attention form cultural circles.
In 1997, theater director Robert Wilson presented the "GA Story" in
Florence, inaugurating that year's Spring/Summer collection in a most
unusual manner.
This time around, the date is October 13th and the venue
NYC's Guggenheim Museum, where visitors are guided step by
step through Armani's fabulous 25-year career.
The exhibition documents the stylistic evolution of Giorgio
Armani, illustrated by garments selected by theme from the various
collections, over 200 original sketches, photographs and video material.
The exhibition examines Armani's impact on today's fashion, as well
as the Oriental and North African influences discernible in his designs.
The exhibition provides an accurate and complete picture of the designer's
creations and their role in contemporary culture.
