Despite the calm surface of design 1997, lulled by boring and repetitive processes of production, something was moving: something which everybody thought should have been there but believed to be lost forever emerged-- the generation gap, if you will. A small platoon of young designers landed on the official production scene, all tried and tested with their landing gear down , armed with tables, chairs, wardrobes, convictions and ideals. A highly charged force, but a also vibrant one full of imagination. These are capable designers, not only able to dream up their designs, but to see them through to a concrete end with their two hands. Molding their destinies along with their own prototypes.
