The Birth of the Squadramobile

In 1993, Cecilia Amman, Giovanni Drugman, Paola Froncillo, Federica Giaume, Gianni Micheloni, Francesco Pasquali, Lazzaro Raboni, 6 architects and an engineer, began work on designs for furniture and interior elements. Each phase of the project was executed by the designers themselves, precipitating the opening of a joiner's workshop in Milano, in Via Legnano 28, where each step of the process involved to produce a marketable prototype could be checked and supervised by the 7 group members, joined in 1997 by architect Michele Pizzinato.
