Aldo Rossi

At present, a hundred of Rossi's works are to be found throughout the world, either as completed projects or works in progress. Aldo Rossi became a major figure in the world of contemporary architecture upon publication of his book "L'architettura della cittą"in the 1970's.

Aldo Rossi's design objects are the translation of his architectural ideas into smaller format.
In keeping with these concepts, for the 1985 Triennale di Milano, Rossi constructed a huge model where architecture and oversized coffee makers effected a new domestic landscape.

Although he died quite young, Rossi was awarded numerous prizes, including the prestigious Pritzker Prize, the American "nobel prize" for architecture.
