A halfway treat between liqueur and wine in terms of alcoholic content and taste, these wine are perfect as an aperitif, a cocktail base or as a dessert wine. VermouthAromatic wine, aperitif (14°-17°), white and red. First class wines, generally aged, are used in Vermouth production. Absinthe is an important component of this wine, indeed, wermouth means "absinthe" in German. The most common names are likely: Cora, Martini, Carpano (1786) and Cinzano (1816). This is a "cured" wine produced in strict conformity with D.O.C. guidelines. It is the product of grapes cultivated exclusively in the farthest tip of Sicily and is the principal ingredient of zabaione (a egg-based crème dessert and pastry item).
