Yes, Italians love to eat, but they also love to drink -- in moderation it must be said, and with attention to quality! If the world has discovered the exquisite Italian wines, perhaps only a few are as yet aware of the other, more potent alcoholic beverages with which Italians anticipate, accompany or prolong a fine dining experience.

Here as well, there are regional differences, the secrets of which have been handed down from generation to generation.
Attention! The art of drinking well is an acquired skill involving careful selection and the right balance. Only by a discriminating choice and perfect timing does a sip (or two...) at the end of a meal in good company become a pleasurable and singular ritual.
